"Be happy in your community. Be active. There is so much good to do in this world and so many different ways to do it."

Executive Workshop Series

This initiative is designed to improve capacity within community organizations through leadership team education. Developed from results of the HCA Foundation's pilot risk study, these four, half-day workshops center on topics that can help nonprofits and their leadership meet challenges in the present economic landscape. Topics include financial management, business continuity and disaster planning, board engagement, and IT strategic planning.

On March 21, 2012, over 75 nonprofit CEOs, CFOs, and Board Members participated in a workshop on Financial Management and Governance. Financial reporting, cash management, and the role of the board were touched on during this latest installment of the Executive Workshop series.

The Center for Nonprofit Management opened their doors for this event at their new downtown offices on Peabody Street.

Our December 1, 2011 workshop focused on Board Engagement. To download information presented by Susan Decker, a Senior Governance Consultant for BoardSource, click below!

Patmos ORG Assessment Tool

Just how resilient is your nonprofit? John Hilley, Founder and President of Patmos Consulting, is partnering with The HCA Foundation and the Center for Nonprofit Management to offer the new Organizational Resiliency Grameplan (ORG) Assessment Tool (formerly known as “the Risk Navigation Tool”) for nonprofit organizations.

The tool consists of several targeted questions relating to any nonprofit’s stability and sustainability. The diagnostic results in a far-reaching organizational assessment including an Executive Summary with benchmarking, action steps and much more.

The tool is currently in its 2.0 version. Organizations that have participated in the assessment previously are encouraged to contact Patmos to use the new version right away.

First time organizations that are interested in participating can share their interest with us here. We will then get back to you with further details.
