Board Training
Each summer, HCA employees who are new to nonprofit board service or who are currently serving on a board are offered the opportunity to improve their skills through board training workshops. Through five information sessions including board roles and responsibilities, strategic planning, financials, fundraising, and a culminating discussion, employees learn the skills and expectations of an effective and positive contributor to a nonprofit board. The Center for Nonprofit Management works with us to present these trainings. Over 50 employees participated in 2010 and more will participate this year.
